Yesterday I had to take the car back to the garage for some work. I managed to get there a little early and had some time from dropping the car off to being picked up by my colleague. As the garage is on the outskirts of a small town and there was a light fog yesterday morning I decided to do some experimenting with my RX100.
Here are some of the results. I hope you like them half as much as I enjoyed trying to figure out the manual mode on the camera :)
Looks like you got the hang of that quite quickly.
ReplyDeleteOnly really see the quality when enlarged with a click on an image...
Thanks.
DeleteI've used it for hundreds of point and click, but these were really not the conditions for automatic shots :)
The problem is that I am used to using a manual mode using the view finder to see the light meter and make adjustments based on that.
In the compact you don't have a light meter. You do see an instant preview of what the shutter time / aperture setting will do. It feels really wrong when doing it for the first time :)
And yes, the quality does suck when small. I am going to have to try and figure out how to do a decent photo blog at some point :)

You do live in a really beautiful area Stace. Lovely photos.
ReplyDeleteWeesp is about 30km from where I live - I just use the garage there as it's easy to get picked up for work from there :)
DeleteBut there are some beautiful places around here too - I'm going to have to take the camera out again I think!

Lovely pictures, Stace, just as Jenna and Caroline noted. You are quite the photographer! I, for one, would *love* to see a photo blog of your work.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Cass
Thanks Cass! I'm going to start one I think, for a start it's going to be photos that I already have, but I want to use it a push to get back out with the camera and get some more shots :)
Delete*When* it's up I'll post it here :)
