OK, maybe not the normal response for a "fill in your tax return" :)
But it was the first official letter from a government agency that started with "Mw" (Short for Mevrouw - Madam).
Sometimes the joined up Dutch system can seem a little Orwellian, but they do work efficiently. One visit to the town hall, not even one form to fill in, and everything is updated!
I'm smiling :)
Now to find time to actually do the return!
Congratulations, Stace! No need to rush the return; you are more than entitled to celebrate right now! :c)

We have to do it before the 1st April, so we have some time :)

We have 'til April 15th here. In Massachusetts it can be extended by a day if the 15th falls on Patriots Day, a state holiday to commemorate the Battles of Lexington & Concord.
DeleteI typically file as early as possible, although circumstances have prevented it so far this year. (It helps when you know you'll get a refund, as I often do!)

P.S. I *was* going to say "celebrate Patriots Day"... but then I remembered that might still be a sore spot in the Mother Country. ;c)
Patriots what? (Seriously - I think that is given even less space in the UK history classes than the fact the Dutch managed to blockade the Thames estuary - the only country to have done so in thousands of years IIRC).
DeleteEnjoy your day!
