Less is more

Well actually that's not quite what I wanted to write - but that is the closest that's the phrase so I am stuck :)

Actually what I wanted to write is 'More is less', or 'More means less' or 'Less means more means less...'  Yes, that last one will do...

Just before my parents arrived I had my 6th, and possibly last session of laser (certainly the last before the autumn).  For the next week it was a bit of a nightmare (as I wrote about with picking up my parents).  But the day before they went home they spent the day with Stacy again and it was *much* better.  To the point where I had little foundation on - little enough that I could leave the lipstick alone.

And the key is confidence.  I felt I didn't need to be caked in order to be me.  So less thick, dark, visible hair equals more confidence about myself equals less make up...  And what's more looking in the mirror in less make up and being happy gives another confidence boost.  In that way it's been a very good week :)

Something weird has happened this week though...  For some reason the visits to this blog have sky rocketed - from 10 or 20 visits per day to 200.  Now whilst I am flattered - I am also assuming that something has gone very wrong with the way that the visits are calculated :)

  1. Less is more. More or less. :-)

    (Sorry, I should've resisted...)

  2. Traffic is booming over here too. Looks as if someone forgot to close a tap.

  4. Carolyn Ann: Damn! I wish I had thought of that one! :)

Corinna: At least I am not the only one then :) It is very strange...

Caroline: Are we talking confidence or page visits now? ;p

  5. I think we've all seen that in our stats. Must compare with Analytics.

Less is most definitely more in makeup terms.

  6. Don't look at stats much but....!

No post this week but traffic gone crazy.

Nobody ever looks in from Spain, Germany, eastern block little from Australia and is that Afghanistan!?!

    Something weird going on.

  7. Jenny: Thank you! I was trying to remember the other tool (it's been a while since I have used those tools!). It looks rather more like I would expect it - so there is something odd with the Stats in blogger...

Even less today, and it's still not too bad (not that I would go out looking as I do ;p)

Caroline: You have some interesting visitors then... :)

  8. Traffic, stats, vistor locations! It all sounds like good stuff! Wish I knew IT and could maybe add a few gagets or tools. Maybe in another life, lmfao!

  10. Billie: I just use the links from the dashboard to see. If blogger is going to lay on the tools then I'll use them, but I wouldn't go to the trouble of making some.

Eleanor: To be honest, I can live with shaving every few days rather than laser the skin. My only issue is that my thighs don't like it and I end up with a near permanent rash :(

Other than that I don't think that the pain would be worth it for me...

  12. I have no idea about the body, I've only got experience from my face, but it's enough to think 'maybe not :)'

I have an epilator, but that left a similar rash, and I struggled like hell with ingrowing hair. That's why I've just gone back to shaving.

  13. Stace, I noticed the same increase in my blogs and in the T-Central blog. In comparing the Blogger stats with the actual stats from Google Analytics, the Analytics stats remained fairly constant while the Blogger stats had the spike. I tend to believe the Analytics stats but I sure liked the numbers that Blogger showed for that period.
