I think that one of her uncles put it best - she is now back with her grandfather who she has missed terribly since he passed away last year.

The comments about giving compliments are pretty much the worries that I have.

And as for the late reading - don't worry about it :) I try to read all the blogs I subscribe to, but with the amount of work on my plate at the moment that doesn't alway happen either :) Then I spend an age playing catchup :)Stacehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07907346657510908857noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4187164070937704663.post-49165869154698966192009-10-27T15:44:10.166+01:002009-10-27T15:44:10.166+01:00Oh my gosh, I can't believe this post was a mo...Oh my gosh, I can't believe this post was a month ago and I am just now reading it....

Anyway, Stace, so sorry to hear about your wife's grandmother. Even with her gone, the memories will always remain.

As far as compliments to a woman, that is an interesting question. In the work environment, where I spend most of my time, and as a manager, males need to be PC and not perceived as coming on to a woman. It is very tough for me because I often want to compliment a woman just as another woman would. There are some I am close to in the work place who I talk to openly about clothes and fashion and I freely offer compliments...nice shoes, colors match, nice top, etc., but I need to be very careful with who I make those comments to. The comments are always well received.

I do real all of the blogs I subscribe to, Stace, but sometimes it takes time and I feel particularly bad when there has been a loss in a family and I am late reading about it.

Calie xxxCaliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00280127011882954777noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4187164070937704663.post-7213081651547971262009-09-30T08:03:38.192+02:002009-09-30T08:03:38.192+02:00Lynn: Thanks. I think the hardest part was when the family members did their bits - seeing them get so chocked up got me going to...

I guess that would be acceptable - just not sure it would sound natural :)Stacehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07907346657510908857noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4187164070937704663.post-79199403313351171252009-09-29T22:17:09.138+02:002009-09-29T22:17:09.138+02:00Sorry to hear about your wife's granny.
